Derry City v Bohemians, Brandywell, 7.45pm
City return to action this evening, seek to arrest an alarming run of form which has seen them fail to record a win since late May. The Candystripes return after a three week break by welcoming fifth placed Bohemians to the Brandywell.
The good news for City fans is that the impromptu break has given a number of players a chance to return to fitness.Derry will welcome Stewart Greacen back from injury while they will also have the services of Mark Farren, Patrick McEleney, Stephen McLaughlin and Ruadhri Higgins who have recovered from little knocks they picked up before the break. Unfortunately Rory Patterson suffered a set back to his recovery in training during the week and will not be available. Conor Murphy is also available after serving his suspension against Shamrock Rovers on the 27th of July.
City have already defeated Bohs twice this evening and will be looking to get the season back on track with a victory tonight. The manager is more than aware of the threat that the opposition pose, having travelled to Drogheda to watch them last week.
“I thought they played very well and in truth probably deserved to get a least a point from the game. They have a lot of talented players in the team that constantly cause a threat particularly at set pieces. We know that they will come to the Brandywell full of confidence off the back of that performance and we will need to be fully aware of this”
