Played in front of a packed Brandywell, the Candystripes collected the points thanks to Stephen McLaughlin’s solo goal.
The Dubliners had a man sent-off just before the break when Adam Martin was shown a straight red card by referee Neil Doyle, for a two-footed challenge:
