One of the success stories for Derry City Football Club in recent years was the success of our City Cubs group.
What are the City Cubs?
One hundred young people of primary school age took part in many of the club’s activities including celebrating our 30th anniversary in the League of Ireland, forming a guard of honour for the team at quite a few home matches and playing football with the first team squad at a private City Cubs training session in the Brandywell.
Who can join?
City Cubs is open to all children of primary school age and is set up to give members the chance to get more involved in the life of Derry City F.C.
How much is it?
The annual fee for City Cubs membership is £10.00.
What does membership include?
Members will be rewarded with a “goody bag”, their own ID card which will also act as their very own season ticket and allow them entry to the Brandywell for all home games.
Throughout the year special one off events will be organised for City Cub members where they will get the opportunity to meet the players and have some fun.
They will have their own seating area in the Brandywell and throughout the year will have opportunities to meet together as a group to have fun, meet the players, and get some coaching from our experienced coaching staff. Young people are very much the lifeblood for the future of the club and we want them to feel that the club is theirs and that they are vital part of it.
“Derry City Football Club hopes City Cubs will encourage children and young people to get involved and feel more a part of this great club than they may have done in the past.”
