Bohemians will attempt to close the gap on Premier Division leaders St Patrick's Athletic when the Dublin clubs clash at Dalymount Park on Friday.
The Gypsies recorded an impressive win over Bray Wanderers in their last outing and will be eager to get their title defence back on track.
Manager Pat Fenlon will again be unable to call on Steven Gray and Anthony Murphy (both Achilles), while striker Raffaele Cretaro (hip) is considered to be a major doubt.
"This is a big game and we've had two really competitive matches against St. Pat's already this season so I expect this one will be no different," said Fenlon.
"I think my players showed great character over last weekend with the Bray game and then the win over Aston Villa. I firmly believe that we have a team here that's capable of winning the league again and that's what we are aiming to do."
St Pat's are missing Shane Guthrie (calf) and Gareth Coughlan (broken leg), while Ian Bermingham remains a doubt with a foot injury. New signing James O'Brien may not feature as he only joined this week from Bradford City.
Pete Mahon will have to decide whether to stick with the same team that battled back to draw with Sporting Fingal last week or change things around. He is certainly not short on options with Garreth O'Connor and Danny North pushing for starting spots.
"The last time we travelled to Dalymount we were top of the league and we left top of the league and that is our intention again for Friday," said Mahon. Source: www.airtricityleague.com |
