Paddy Collins hit a late equaliser to frustrate promotion-chasing Waterford at Lisseywoollen.
Waterford dominated the first half with Paul Murphy bringing a terrific save from Michael Schlingerman who touched his 25-yarder onto the bar.
Willie John Kiely then fired Blues deservedly in front ten minutes into the second half when getting on the end of Alan Carey’s low cross.
But Town stuck at it and levelled on 70 minutes when defender Collins rose to head home from a corner.
