Central defender Clive Delaney rejoined Derry City from Bray Wanderers on a 2 year deal in February 2008.

His second spell at the club has, so far, been outstanding. He has matured as a player and looks a lot more comfortable at the centre if the City defence.

He has captained the side on 11 occasions, including the 2008 eircom League Cup Final victory over Wexford Youths
