Liam Kearney
Liam joined Derry City from Cork City at the start of the 2009 season. The winger started his career at Nottingham Forest, before returning home to play with his home town club, Cork City where he won a League medal in 2005. A controversial move to Shelbourne followed, and despite taking a break from football, he picked up his second League medal in two seasons before returning to Cork. Stephen Kenny swooped for the player on the first day of the January 2009 transfer window, hoping to plug a gap in his midfield following Niall McGinn's move to Celtic.
