"Pizza" may be getting on in years, but is still one of the vital cogs in the City setup.

Now in his 19th season with the club and in his testimonial year, he originally made his name as a free scoring midfielder in the 1996/97 season when he hit 19 goals as City romped to the League title.

Peter has spent time at Portadown and Shelbourne, winning the title with Shels, but returning to the Brandywell after only one season.

Indeed he has taken temporary control of teams affairs on two occasions - once after the departure of Gavin Dykes and in 2007 following the departure of Pat Fenlon.

In recent years has reverted to a role in the centre of the back four and was made club captain under Kenny.

Known for his exemplary tackling, Hutton has won a slew of awards during his time with the Candystripes including PFAI Player of the Year and SWAI of the Year.

Scored in both the 95 and 06 Cup finals as City lifted the trophy and was Man of the Match in the famous 2006 Cup Final. Hutton was nominated for the SWAI Personality of the Year award in 2006. He has made more appearances in a City shirt than any other player - at the end of the 2008 season, he had appeared 625 times for City with  363 of those as captain.
