U-19s bow out at Quarter Final stage

Despite dominating the game, the City U-19 exited the Enga McGuill Cup at the hands of Bohemians, who secured a 1-0 victory at Dalymount today.


City’s European application rejected

Derry City’s application to gain entry to next season’s European competition has been rejected.

City drawn to face Linfield

City have been drawn to play Linfield in the Setanta Sports Cup second round.

 

The Candystripes travel to Windsor for the first leg, which is scheduled to take place on the 5th March.  The second leg in the Brandywell will be 20th March.  However these games may be dependent on TV schedules and kick off times TBC


Seventh heaven as City advance

Derry City 3 Distillery 0(7-0 on aggregate)

 

City continued their form from the first leg as theybreezed past Distillery to advance to the Setanta Sports Cup second round.  Goals from Patrick McEleney, Stephen McLaughlin and Rory Patterson were on the scoresheet as City recorded their first home victory of the 2012 season.

 

The draw follows at 11.15pm

City continue additions as McCaffrey signs

Derry City FC are delighted to announce that they have signed Dermot McCaffrey from Dungannon Swifts.

 

McCaffrey, a former Northern Ireland U-21 international is versatile defender and is from Clogher and joins the Candystripes for the 2012 season.

Ticketing offers for Setanta tie

Distillery make the trip to Brandywell on Monday night for the second leg of the Setanta Sports Cup tie, with the Whites providing the first competitive home fixture of the 2012 season.

 

With City holding a 4-0 leg from the first leg, the club have offered a number of incentives to increase attendance.
