CityWeb website: Headline Sponsorship: Reserved by TheBestOf City of Derry
The higest tier of sponsorship available on CityWeb, offering exclusive headline sponsorship of the entire CityWeb website.
Your company name and/or logo will appear at the top of every page on the site and your company name will be included in the title of the website as "CityWeb in association with Your-Company-Name" and included in all marketing and e-mail communication associated with the website.
iCandy podcast: Headline Sponsorship (exclusive option)
Exclusive headline sponsorship of our podcast service.
We are committed to providing at least one high quality, feature packed episode per month during the 2008 season. Your company name will be included in the title of the podcast as "iCandy in assocation with Your-Company-Name" and included in all marketing materials and e-mail communications associated with the podcast. We also include a 30 second advert slot in every episode. Your company name and/or logo will also appear prominently in the iCandy section of the CityWeb wesbite.
Technology Partner
We are keen to attract a Technology Partner to help us improve upon the live matchday services which we offer to our supporters. During the last two seasons we have provided live match text commentary for some of our home games and we would like to extend the service to cover away matches also. We would be particularly interested in partnering with companies who can provide us with mobile all-ireland internet connectivity. Your company name will feature prominently throughout the match commentary and your company logo will appear on the relevant CityWeb webpage.
Banners and Buttons
Advertising space is available on the right-hand column or our website. These are displayed on every page throughout the site. Adspots are available in a range of sizes: 120 x 120 pixels (single height), 120 x 240 pixels (double height) and 120 x 480 pixels (skyscraper). Adpsots can be bought for an entire season, on a monthky basis, or per 1000 page impressions.
Section Sponsorship
We also have opportunities for companies to sponsor particular sections of the CityWeb website - e.g. fixtures page, squad details and club history sections.Your landscape banner (480 x 60 pixels) will be placed at the top of every page in that particular section of the website.

Player of the Month Sponsorship
Each month during the 2008 season, we will be holding an online poll amongst our supporters to vote for the Player of the Month (POTM). We are looking for a company to sponsor the small trophies which we will present to each Player of the Month. The POTM award will be entitled "CityWeb/Sponsor Name Player of the Month" and the sponsors name will be engraved on each trophy. The POTM award and its sponsor will enjoy coverage in the local media, the CityWeb website and the club programme.
Competitions/Giveaways
Have you a product that you'd like to promote? CityWeb can provide you with a platform to promote your product via our website using competitions and giveaways. These can usually be provided free of charge, we simply ask you to donate a relevant prize. In return, your company logo and/or name will appear on the frontpage of our website for the duration of the promotion.

Derry City Football Club was founded in 1928, and currently compete in the eircom League Premier Division in the Republic of Ireland. The club receives a large amount of media coverage in Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland and around Europe and Derry City matches have been covered live by RTE, BBC NI, TG4, Setanta Sports, Sky Sports and Eurosport.
CityWeb has been the online home of Derry City Football Club for 10 years. CityWeb provides the most comprehensive coverage of Derry City FC, is updated daily and is visited by a loyal, worldwide audience of football supporters. CityWeb is a key resource for supporters, visitors and indeed the national and international press.
The website has become one the major news sources for the club and is a vital point of contact for fans.

During last season we averaged almost 900 unique visitors per day visiting our news pages, with each visitor reading an average of 4 news items per visit.
Almost 60% of our visitors are returning visitors, therefore we have a loyal readership.
77% of our visitors came from UK & Ireland, with the remainder coming mainly from USA, France, Sweden, Germany, Turkey, Spain, Canada and Poland.
Why we need advertising/sponsorship
CityWeb are seeking an online partners in order to enhance the range of services we offer our users.
CityWeb were the first club website in Ireland to launch a club podcast, iCandy, and we have helped to develop further innovations such as streaming commentary from home games.
However CityWeb is run in a voluntary capacity by several supporters, receiving no financial contribution from the club. All proceeds from advertising/sponsorship on CityWeb, go towards the maintenance, upkeep and production of the site and associated projects (e.g. iCandy). CityWeb is not a commercial venture and does not make a profit - in fact up to now we have provided all the services at our own personal expense.
What we can do for you?
As the website of Ireland's largest football club, CityWeb offers exciting exposure for potential partners and sponsors. The unique geographical position means that the club enjoys coverage from both Northern and Southern media and enjoys a very high profile.
The site is linked to from a huge variety of sources, from BBC News Online to UEFA.com. The site features in the top 10 Google searches for “Derry City” and "Derry" and draws weblinks from around the globe.
Our adventures in the UEFA Cup against IFK Gothenburg, Gretna and Paris St Germain caused a huge increase in interest in the club both within the city, across Ireland and further afield.
Our innovative podcast (iCandy) was a phenomenal success during last season with almost 1000 downloads for the latest episode.
Our live text match commentary is another very popular innovation, attracting Derry City supporters from around the world, as well as supporters of our opposition teams.
