Ben Doherty Goes to Glenavon

The 21-year-old has joined Irish League side Glenavon on loan until the end of January.

Manager Kenny Shiels confirmed that his team had the option of bringing Northern Ireland under-21 international Doherty back to the Brandywell and that was something that will be up for discussion at that time.

“Ben is keen to play regularly which is understandable.”

“Going to Glenavon will afford him the chance to do that at a good standard and obviously we’ll be monitoring his progress there.”
