Derry City and Tristar FC teamed up on Friday morning to ensure a pre-Christmas treat for young patients at Altnagelvin Hospital’s Children’s Ward.
Management and players took part in the visit as Santa delivered presents to all the children on the Ward. Many of the gifts were collected by Tristar FC last week and the Candystripes’ Manager paid tribute to all involved.
“Derry City has always been a community club and it is vital that we continue to develop those links. We are grateful to Tristar for their help in this event and it has been an experience to meet these young people, their parents and the fantastic staff here at Altnagelvin” he said.
“Thanks also to Karen Pyne, Hugh Curran and Emma Friel for helping to organise things at our end.”
The Derry boss was taking time out of a hectic schedule which has seen himself and backroom team on the road pretty much non-stop over the past few weeks.
City are expected to unveil their newest arrival at at press conference on Saturday morning.
