It’s another busy week for the players and staff at Derry City as they prepare for games against Bohemians and Dundalk in the space of the next five days.
The Phibsboro side are the visitors to Brandywell on Monday evening (KO 7.45) and Manager Declan Devine says he has almost a full panel available.
“David Parkhouse is suspended having picked up a fifth yellow card at the weekend and Ally Gilchrist sat out training on Sunday and will undergo a fitness test ahead of the game” he began.
The Derry boss admits he is full of admiration for the job that Keith Long and his staff have been doing at Dalymount Park.
“You can see how they’re growing their club. It’s something we’re trying to do ourselves and you can see the reaction of their fans and their local community to the work that is going in.”
“They’re performing really well on the pitch as well so this will be another huge challenge for us.”
“I think they made something like eight changes to their side on Friday night, obviously with this game in mind, so it has the makings of a big match for both of us.”
“The players are relishing this run of games and everyone wants to play.”
“That’s why we’re in this business in the first place and although it’s the second home game in quick succession I hope as many of our supporters as possible will continue to come out to back us again.”
On match day from 7pm, tickets will be on sale from Long Tower Youth Club which can be accessed from the stadium car park.
