The club has announced that they have reached agreement with Colchester United to extend the loan of Junior Ogedi-Uzokwe until the end of the current season.
The 25-year old has become a firm favourite at the Brandywell since his arrival and says he was pleased to sort his immediate future and to stay in the North West.
“I really like it here- everyone has been good to me and it’s a great bunch of lads to play with.”
“Declan is very good to work with and the boys all want to play for him.”
“We can look forward to cracking on in the second half of the season now and it’s good that we still have plenty to play for.”
Manager Devine says that the player has continued his development during his original loan deal and there is more to come.
“Junior is a fantastic player- he is great on the ball and has become a real threat for us in the first half of the season.”
“He is capable of giving you that something different and is a handful for any defence.”
“We’re delighted that Colchester have agreed to let him stay on and we thank them for that. I believe that Junior will benefit a lot from his experience playing at this level.”
